Three positions on the 2027 WE Board of Directors are open for election. Nominations for the following positions are due by Sunday, October 4, 11:59 pm ET:

• President-Elect (one-year term; three-year commitment as President-Elect, President, and Past President);

• Treasurer (two-year term);

• Secretary (two-year term).

Responsibilities for positions are described in the WE by-laws. Current WE members in good-standing are invited to submit nominations for other members (with their consent) or for themselves. Candidates should be WE members at the time of nomination. President and President-Elect positions additionally require 9 months' experience as a WE Board member.

Timeline and Key Dates:

• Submit nominations by Sunday, October 4, 2026, 11:59 pm ET. 

• Submit nominations by Sunday, October 4, 11:59 pm ET.

• Announce candidates on Friday, October 9, 2026. 

• Learn more about the candidates in the Weekly Digest on October 16 and October 23.

• Voting begins in late October. Individual ballot links will be emailed to members. 

• Election results will be announced in early November (before AEA).

• Terms start January 1, 2027.
