WE AI in Evaluation User Group

Led by the Washington Evaluators, September 26th, 12:00pm - 1:00pm ET

Join Us for the NEW WE AI in Evaluation Interest Group Meeting!

Session Topic: "PROMPT ENGINNERING"

We invite WE and AEA members to be part of this group—a new and growing learning community created for evaluators and non-evaluators alike who are responsible for assessing programs or initiatives and are curious about how artificial intelligence (AI) can support their work.

Whether you're brand new to AI or just beginning to explore its possibilities in evaluation, this is a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and grow together.

As this group is still in its early stages, this meeting will focus on laying the groundwork for our future conversations. Together, we’ll explore the following key question:
“When it comes to evaluating programs, what can human intelligence do that AI cannot—or struggles to do?”

During this session, guest speaker, Anirban Ghosh, MA, MS, will provide recommendations and demonstrate crafting useful prompts in large language interfaces such as ChatGBT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Co-pilot, and others. The group will discuss challenges and successes related to prompt engineering, along with other concerns working with generative AI.

Anirban Ghosh is a research leader and data scientist who loves helping evaluators turn data into insights that matter. Over the past 15+ years, he has worked across education, nonprofits, government, and global projects, blending advanced analytics—like causal inference, predictive modeling, and natural language processing—with a practical, evaluation-focused mindset

Come ready to share, listen, and help co-create this exciting new community!

This event is FREE and open to WE and AEA members only. To become a member visit https://washingtonevaluators.org/membership. If you have questions about this event, please email programs@washingtonevaluators.org
