Conference Theme:
Ways of Knowing in Evaluation

April 25, 2025 9:00am - 4:00pm ET

This is the registration for the virtual student conference. This conference will be held virtually on Zoom with an in-person Networking Event from 6 - 8 pm ET following the conference. To register for the Networking Event, please do so here.

As evaluators, researchers, and policymakers, we are called upon to examine accepted practice and reflect on our own values and positionality. Join us for the 7th DC Consortium Student Conference on Evaluation and Policy (DCSCEP) to explore different ways of knowing. This conference invites us to expand our understanding of how various contexts and approaches influence knowing, being, and doing in evaluation. We will discuss, for example, the application of cultural responsiveness, systems theory, and asset-based approaches, as well as the implications of technological advancements across all methods. Together, we will build a deeper appreciation for the varied ways of knowing in evaluation.

Our goal is to provide graduate and other post-secondary students interested in evaluation and policy with an opportunity to present original research and network with professionals and faculty in those fields. We are excited to host poster sessions and presentations where students enrolled in DC area colleges and universities will have the opportunity to showcase their work.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services provided by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) will be available for the keynote address and panel discussion. To request interpreting services for a specific event please contact GAOTranslationSvcs@gao.gov by Friday, April 18th. For more information about Reasonable Accommodations, contact the Reasonable Accommodations Team at ReasonableAccommodations@gao.gov.

The DCSCEP Organizing Committee welcomes participants to the conference and looks forward to learning with you and from you during the event!
