The DC Consortium Student Conference on Evaluation and Policy (SCEP) is a collaboration of universities in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Maryland regions, representing the interests of students aspiring to be evaluators and policy makers. This collaboration attempts to provide students with a platform to present their research and interact with evaluation experts in the opportunity-rich Washington, D.C. metro area and aims to be a bridge between students, academia and other evaluation and policy agencies/organizations.

Taking its first step towards this end, the DC Consortium SCEP presents its first conference, titled, ‘Advancing Social Justice in Evaluation and Policy Integration,’ at Howard University in Washington DC. This will be a one-day conference on May 5, 2017, at the Armour J. Blackburn University Center. In the spirit of its inception and the belief of the founders, this conference attempts to address issues of social justice by focusing on the intersectionality between the fields of evaluation and policy. This is a student-led, student-run conference to showcase student work.
